Adulttoymegastore wins again – for the third year in a row

The New Zealand owned and operated Adulttoymegastore is on a winning streak, once again winning big at kiwi retail awards. For the third consecutive year the company has won people's choice awards.

Last night, Adulttoymegastore took home the People's Choice Award for Hottest Use of Data and the judge's award for Hottest Use of Data at the Gem Retail Hotlist Awards.

Chosen as nominees and winners from 18 categories, Adulttoymegastore won both of the awards it was nominated for.

Up against Mitre 10 and Mighty Ape, Adulttoymegastore managed to wow the judges and their customers who voted online for the People’s Choice award.

Judge Sarah Dunn said: "In a category where privacy and discretion is everything, Adulttoymegastore has used data insights to provide a seamless experience where everything customers need is at their fingertips before they've even thought to reach for it. This retailer makes data-driven business look effortless."

Adulttoymegastore Owner and Operator Nicola Relph said the team was thrilled with the wins.

Adulttoymegastore has an artificial intelligence engine created in-house that assesses pricing in the market so customers always have the best possible prices. The company was also an early adopter of the NZ Post Parcel Collect initiative to provide another option for collection for customers. Data is used to manage Adulttoymegastore's loyalty scheme which rewards not just purchases but engagement like posting reviews and taking surveys and polls.

Adulttoymegastore also began using buy-now pay-later schemes through Laybuy and Afterpay. This combined with same day and even hour-turn-around postage services mean customers always get what they need when they need it.

To find the People’s Choice winner, an article describing each finalist featured in the magazine and across the Register social media channels. For the Judges' Choice Awards they enlisted a trio of industry heavyweight judges, whose decisions were based on each winner's individual worthiness and impact on retail as a whole. Last year, Adulttoymegastore won the People's Choice Award for the 'Hottest Ecommerce Experience' after receiving 67 per cent of the votes, up against New Zealand's biggest retailers, such as Trade Me, Countdown, The Warehouse, Mighty Ape and Grab One.

This is the latest in a winning streak for the online retailer. In July, Adulttoymegastore was awarded the OmniChannel Award at the Retail NZ Awards. Adulttoymegastore were named the OmniChannel Award winners for 2019, an award dedicated to retailers who trade across a combination of channels, including physical presence and digital channels, to create a seamless customer experience.
