These versatile mattress restraints are both practical and discreet. They feature an adjustable strap to go under the mattress, with 4 tethers attached. These tethers are adjustable to fit the desired length, and are versatile as you can switch the position of each tether to be either length ways or width ways under the mattress. Each cuff is fastened with Velcro straps so can suit any wrist size β big or small.
Having never used full restraints before, we found that this particular set easy to use, and not intimidating in any way. Because the main body of the restraints is hidden under the mattress, the restraints tend to stay in place when not in use β we just tuck the cuffs under the mattress. Definitely less hassle than removing them from bedposts after each use, and very discreet. The box also includes a blindfold with an elastic tie. While this was fun to use and did add another element of excitement, the fit of the blindfold was not the most secure and it did tend to move about when we did. It will probably still get some use until a better quality blindfold is purchased.
The cuffs themselves were very comfortable and very secure. I did have some concern as to whether the Velcro may be uncomfortable, but the neoprene that is against the skin is thick enough to prevent you from feeling the edge of the Velcro. When the tethers were pulled tight they stayed in place relatively securely. However, if tension was relaxed and then pulled again there was some movement in the tethers, which meant they needed to be readjusted if we wanted them taught.
Overall, these restraints are versatile, discreet and will definitely get a lot of use! The kit itself is great for anyone wanting to spice things up a bit and add a new element to the bedroom. Being able to tuck away the restraints under the mattress means this is a no-hassle product, and cuts down on the need for additional storage space in the toy box. The only downside would be the quality of the materials. While the blindfold was fun, the quality was a let-down, and I canβt imagine that the neoprene of the cuffs will stand the test of time. But hey, it would give you enough experience with them to know if you would want to invest in a more sturdy set!
